
Our Investment in the Future of the Holy Land
Annual Contributions – In 2012 and in addition to the funding support sent to the Grand Magisterium, the Western USA Lieutenancy will provide funding for the following special projects in the Holy Land:
Zarqa Schools - Support for summer school programs, air-conditioning units for the church, lighting for the Church of the Twelve Apostles hall. The summer school hosts 600 K-8 children. Zarqa has no parks, playgrounds or structured sports or summer activity programs. The high school students serve the younger children during these programs.
Construction of the Church in Aqaba, Jordan - Support to serve local Christian in southern Jordan, plus guest workers and refugees from Egypt.
Bethlehem University -Support occupational therapy for special needs students.
The Society of St. Yves - Support for the widely successful legal aid efforts for Palestinian Christians displaced from their homes by the Israeli government.
St. Vincent Ain Karem home for children with special needs – Support for Sr. Susan Sheehan and the Daughters of Charity to assist with their ministry for children with special needs.
Latin Patriarchate Audio Visual equipment - Funding toward a total project cost. When the LPJ is able to purchase the equipment, it will be able to produce advanced informational videos explaining graphically the condition of the Christians living on the West Bank and Israel.
